ProSIX Welcomes New Charter Members Including KPMG

RESTON, VA, USA- March 5, 2020 – Professional Services Information Exchange (ProSIX) has announced the addition of new charter members to the cyber threat information sharing community, including KPMG.

Committed to greater security and the resilience of the sector, these companies join ProSIX to advance the exchange of cyber intelligence, best practices, reports and threat information like malware signatures, indicators of compromise, systems vulnerabilities and other material relevant to maintaining sustained operations in today’s digital environment.

ProSIX, a non-profit organization, allows its members to securely and anonymously share details of cyber-attacks or intrusions, and preventative measures. ProSIX analysts enrich this information and facilitate the dissemination of advisories to the group so it may take timely action that aids existing internal security measures. In addition to information shared by members, ProSIX analysts leverage relationships with security vendors, government, and other sharing partners to acquire data and intelligence for the community so warning from one source can be shared to protect all members in near real time.

“ProSIX will help us to engage with our peers who are facing many of the same cyber security risks,” added Brian Geffert, Global CISO of KPMG International. “KPMG member firms work in many locations around the world to service clients and require actionable threat information sharing among similar organizations to help reduce risk.”

Working with organizations which provide audit, tax, advisory, management consulting, technology, engineering, and other services, ProSIX facilitates the exchange of threat intelligence information and collaboration to further resilience for those industries and the customers they serve.

“While ProSIX is a new organization for professional services firms, its model has been refined for two decades by staff that have created and operated multiple sharing communities,” said Mark Orsi, president of Global Resilience Federation (GRF), the parent company of ProSIX. “We have had considerable success in preventing and mitigating attacks and have the case studies to prove it.”

As part of the greater GRF network of threat information sharing communities, ProSIX members also benefit from a machine-to-machine program for automated cross-sector, multi-directional data sharing with eight other sharing communities operating around the world in the retail, financial, oil and gas, legal, health and energy sectors.
